Many Christians miss the blessings and Power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. They mean well but don’t fully comprehend the significance of this tremendous gift.
The same abilities that created the universe indwell every Child of God, yet many Christians allow His power to lay dormant in their personal lives.
When a sinner is born again, God’s Holy Spirit comes into that person. He is there to guide, heal, bring joy, and peace, and to work through that individual to accomplish God’s will.
Not only does God indwell His people and extend the gift of eternal life; He also desires to work through them, to accomplish His will and purpose on earth.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father,” (John 14:12).
Christians readily acknowledge the Power of God when leading a lost individual in the “sinners’ prayer.” They correctly understand that it is not them, but the Holy Spirit who saves, and then writes the new Christian’s name in the Lambs Book of Life.
This same Christian may innocently fail to follow God’s instructions to place their hands on a sick individual, anoint them with oil, and, in the name of Jesus, command the sickness to be gone.
Perhaps the most significant work Christians can do is to allow the power of the Holy Spirit to work through them; to pray, and, under the prompting of the Holy Spirit speak words of healing, guidance, and comfort.
“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts”(Zech 4:6).
The born again child of God should see the things of God differently than those who do not know Him. It is not the person, but the indwelling Holy Spirit that brings about healing and blessings.
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,” (1 Cor 2:4).
There is only one Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit that works through an Evangelist with a ministry that reaches millions can also work through a single individual in the most remote place on earth.
This person, possibly all alone, empowered by the Holy Spirit, can kneel and pray beside a sickly child, friend, or loved one, and see them healed.
It is not the power of the person, but the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit that does the work, through the obedient child of God.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” (Eph 3:20).

Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world’s hostility and social problems!
“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it” (Prov 22:6).
Love is the answer!
True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
